Or the <a href="http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html" rel="nofollow">Palin Effect?</a>

Probably just a bounce, for now . . . :)

Really Cameron? So Gallup's is within their margin of error? Not according <a href="http://www.gallup.com/poll/109933/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Stretches-Lead-Points.aspx" rel="nofollow">to them . . .</a>

Listen, I really don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm just countering the "talking point" that there wasn't a bounce. I think it's pretty clear to any rational observer that there was a "bounce".

Don, your anti-no-bounce narrative was handled pretty well when you used it at One Utah.

Some polls might show a slight uptick, but it's within the margin of error and historically quite small.

Yes, who cares about the "bounce". That's why I'm curious about the "no convention bounce" narrative that seems to be circulating today.

Yes there was a 6 point bounce according to some, but who cares? It's a little early to be choosing a winner. I look forward to the debates to see how good Barack is on his feet without a speech writer to help him, and how well McCain can control his temper - this should be fun to watch

What is with the "no convention bounce" nonsense? Is this Rush's and Hannity's talking point for today?

Gallup, Rasmussen and RealClearPolitics all clearly show a "bounce" from pre-convention polling.

Feat (maybe fortitude)- Have to agree with Eric, Mccain picking Palin might prove to be genius/disastrous

Fiasco- David Duchovny checks into rehab for....sex addiction. The X-files will never be the same for me

Failure- Comcast, the most evil company in America, is capping bandwidth for its customers. I hate you Comcast!

Failure: DNC - while it made a lot of noise, it hasn't resulted in any convention bump in the polls.

Feat: McCain picking Palin. Pitch perfect, as they say.

Political ideologies aside, I think you have to look at the Sarah Palin announcement as the feat of the week.

It totally stole the thunder of the Democratic convention and it's all the news has talked about all day, and will undoubtedly carry into the weekend.

The McCain camp was masterful in keeping it a secret, trotting out Romney and Pawlenty as potential candidates and making all of us believe it was a three man race (when you include long-shot Lieberman).

It’s that time: Make your nominations for the 4F’s.

Who is the biggest failure of the week? A tough one, but as there has been no meaningful bounce I guess I'd have to saw the DNC convention.

What was the biggest fiasco? The premature obituary published by Bloomberg News for Steve Jobs on Wednesday.

And who accomplished the feat of the week? McCain in duping everyone by naming Sarah Palin for VP.
