I came across this database at the Los Angeles Times that lists contributors on both sides of the Prop 8 debate in California. Turns out that a number of Utahns, including some with Cache Valley ties, have thrown money into the fight.
Some of the noteworthy contributors:
- Jonathan W. Bullen, a Cache Valley native, now of Eagle Gate College and former Manager of KVNU has donated $5,000 in support of the initiative.
- Senator Scott McCoy (D-Salt Lake), who is openly gay, has donated $250 in opposition.
- Bruce Bastian of Orem has donated over $1,000,000 in opposition to Prop 8.
- Roy Hales of Logan has donated $5,000 in support of Prop 8 (it appears his company is based in California).
