Surge in Natural Gas Has Utah Driving Cheaply – Series – NYTimes.com.
We touched on the topic of natural gas cars on the show a couple weeks ago, but I had no idea that Utah was “the leader” in the country for this. It’s pretty cool, despite the problems that we mentioned before (people crudely converting their cars, price increases as a result of increased use).
It’s interesting that the Honda dealership in SLC has 25 percent of the nation’s orders of the natural gas powered Honda Civic.

I would like to see an economic study about how this has effect home natural gas prices. I know my bill just jumped from $65 per month to over $85 with average yearly billing.
Congratulations to Utah! 25% share is pretty crazy considering Utah only has a fraction of the population of a state like California. Natural gas is really a great clean energy source.
