From The Associated Press:
PROVO, Utah (AP) – Provo may bend its zoning laws to allow senior citizens to rent out space in their homes.
Council member George Stewart says allowing seniors to lease parts of their homes would help them financially and could improve health care or building upkeep.
The change, limited to single-family homes, would allow people 65 and older to host up to two adults and their children in their home.
Some, though, say the idea needs more tweaking before it’s approved.
The council will hold a publich earing on the idea on Oct. 7.
