My big question is: How are they going to get that plane out of the river?
An interview this morning with the gentleman who sat next to the pilot and co-pilot in the life raft said that while they waited for rescue the co-pilot complimented the pilot for being the first pilot to ever successfully “ditch” a commercial air plane. This was truly amazing since water landings usually result in the rabid destruction of the air craft. They will be studying his glide slope for years to come.
