KVNU’s For the People to be syndicated in three cities
KVNU is pleased to announced that starting on May 1, KVNU’s For the People will be syndicated in three cities, expanding the reach of the Cache Valley/Northern Utah-centric news program far beyond the Logan area.
Charter syndication stations of the show will include KIFL-AM in Idaho Falls, KPPM-AM in Wendover and KIBS-AM in Rock Springs.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our reach and move into some new markets,” said For the People producer/host Tyler Riggs. “We had opportunities to move into the Ogden market and other parts of the Wasatch Front, but we figured we were too backward for Weber County, so we held back and focused on our niche: Wendover and Rock Springs. Idaho Falls was just gravy.”
With the syndication, Riggs said the show would have to start adhering to a more rigid clock schedule so affiliates can plan commercial breaks.
“It’s going to be tough. No more blowing over breaks by 10 minutes,” Riggs said.
