Last week, a Texas judge ruled that a mother has a right to harvest her dead son’s sperm so she can find a surrogate mother and carry out her dead son’s wish of having children.
Aside from being an odd and unique story, this may carry future legal implications, not to mention the moral and ethical complications of the issue.
Should mom be allowed to do something like this and try and become a grandma? Is this exclusively carrying out her son’s wish to have a child, or is it more a case of she wants to keep a piece of her son alive?
We’ll discuss this in the 5 p.m. hour tonight, along with a discussion about the latest on Octomom Nadya Suleman who is looking to profit off her babies now.
