If you’ve been to a garden store or one of the big box stores and looked for gardening supplies lately, you’ve probably seen that there’s quite a run on seeds and supplies these days.
Gardening stuff, especially seeds, along with guns (as we’ve discussed before) are the hottest items during the recession, as the Salt Lake Tribune recognizes today.
Do any of the FTP readers have experiences out at the garden stores with seed shortages or other supplies? (I’ll work on getting Mark Anderson of Anderson’s Seed and Garden to come on the show tonight and talk about what he’s seeing in his store.)

I’ve taken note of a growing and predictable trend in recession-era days where people rekindle the need to “grow your own food”.
Meh…I hope the habit sticks with a few people, once better economic days wash over them.
