Full disclosure: I know Sgt. Troy Liquin and have always thought he’s a stand up guy. My personal bias leads me to believe there’s more to this story than was reported this morning in The Herald Journal.
So without me offering my own personal comment beyond that, I offer you the nuts of the story: A man was booked into the CC Jail is claiming he was harassed by the sheriff’s officials who booked him in jail. Seems like you have written something like this before…
Haha touche, Jakester, except in the frat thing, I was bamboozled by taking the word of people who only had hearsay and in this, I’m just speaking based on what I know of the man who is directly involved. But point taken nonetheless.
I always thought the LCPD motto was “To Neglect And Harass”. This really does not surprise me based on my run-in’s with Logan’s finest.

We will have to see what happens. Definitely unprofessional. Really no excuse for the behavior. Is it the end of the world, no. Some training in professionalism is definitely needed. Really the bigger story is the incompetence at the court level. All of us regardless of our professions and jobs, need to realize that there are certain things we do not say and do at work. Officers should be held to a higher standard.
