  1. Cue the extreme right-wing fringe bashing and discrediting of Levi…just like every other apparent turn-coat (see “enlightened by reality”).

  2. Isn’t it FUNNY how the press gives “gaffe-a-minute” idiots (BO, Biden and the Good Ol’ Boys and Girls Club of DC) a free pass on “all you can eat gaffes.” Oh, and please don’t mention the easy questions in interviews for these clowns: “The people are just dying to know, what’s your favorite color…?” And even with the easy questions, yep, they still gaffe, gaffe, gaffe at triple the rate Palin did, under their whole different double standard. Yet some just won’t see it. Unbelievable hypocrisy.

Republicans are roasted endlessly when caught in corruption, but the same and worse is just ignored and only called a mistake, if even that, when a lib does it. So Soviet.

Liberal republicans don’t get a tough grilling in the media either, in case you didn’t notice. And how many republicans are just as liberal and corrupt as most liberals, with a free pass, again? That’s why I say, it isn’t just BO that stinks in Washington, or here at home.

  3. i’m not sure it’s possible to gaffe at triple the rate palin did. she was asked what she read, she said everything.

but hey, you’ve gotta stand up for the candidate the birthers want to see on the ticket in 2012 right?

  4. @Redge I don’t blame here for being true to herself, I blame her for just most of the time not being “true.”

(Like when she said she was quitting for the people of Alaska… but was really quitting for the Benjamins)

  5. @Grumpy
This is exactly the sort of story you would have pounced on had it been anyone other than NPR.

Did you catch that little reference to his mom being busted for illegally selling Oxycontin? Or the reference to Levi being a high school drop out teen father? Or how his mom’s defense lawyer in the Oxycontin case did the work pro-bono, but now he’s morphed from defense attorney to high school drop out teen father publicity agent – and certainly not pro-bono? Or how Levi was interviewed and his eyes would dart over at the defense lawyer/agent for permission to answer every question? Or how much of what Levi is saying now doesn’t jive with the many other interviews he’s given in the past?

You really don’t see this segment for what it is? If it had run on Fox you would have.

  6. Palin was spot-on about the death panels (unless you are still a Michael “Marxist” Moore fan). Every country is well known as having what are commonly refered to as medical death panels with socialized (Marxist) health care. Just one way of trying desperately to make very poor supply meet demand.

How in the heck can you ever hope to make supply meet demand once medicine is socialized (utterly impossible dilemma of failure – unless you are a Michael Moore fan…). No country has ever pulled it off, not possible, nor can we “get socialism right this time.” Listen to the warnings coming out of those miserably failed systems, where party toting comrades say it’s wonderful! And that’s what you defend and worship?
