US Senate candidate and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff has suspended his campaign to care for a daughter with mental illness. What does this mean for Sen. Bennett and the other candidates? And what was Cherilyn Eager thinking with this response to the news?
Last night’s election brought few surprises in Cache Valley (especially in the arena of low voter turnout!), but throughout the state and the nation that wasn’t the case. I have all the sympathy in the world for his daughter and wish her the very best. I am an advocate for victims of mental illness and for their families, and also an advocate for victims of abuse, especially victims of the abuse industry, which Shurtleff seems to be very deeply embroiled in.
This situation with his daughter is way too ironic. The man who has no heart and shuns people with these same problems with their own children. These situation with mental illness and often suicide attmepts are often brought on by severe non-stop abuse, stemming from false abuse allegations and all the abuse which surrounds those false abuse allegations. This creates so many problems much like what his own daughter is going through… Mental illness is treatable, but when all of the abuse which is entwined with the abuse of false abuse allegaitons, heaped on far too many children, it is much harder to treat. It is in fact worsened by so many just like AG Shurtleff who could care less and don’t want to rock the gravy train which they ride.
Shurtleff seems (to many people in this same situation) to be nothing less than a heartless, cold, cruel actor and manipulative parasite. I’m sure all those who’ve had these problems with him would likewise. I believe most if not all would wish his daughter the best as well, but would likewise fully agree with this opinion of not just Shurtleff as AG, but most all prosecutors who act the same ways in these same life and death situations for their own children which they care nothing about in the least.
