BIO: I was born and lived in Wellsville until I was 7, then my family moved to lovely Thurmont, Maryland for two years. Wanting to be back home with the family (and their grandkids) the parents moved us back to Logan in 1993 and I’ve been here ever since. I’m a 2002 graduate of Logan High and will graduate from USU in 2010 with degrees in journalism and business. I worked for the Utah Statesman for two years out of high school, then spent four years at The Herald Journal, the last 18 months of which were as the papers city (local news) editor. One day the good people at the Cache Valley Radio Group called up and we started talking about whether a career move would be right for me and I moved down the street and have converted from print to airwaves.

  1. Tyler, the other day I heard you (I think it was you) mention asking the Senate candidates to pick a number between 1 and 27 and then explain which amendment that was. I didn’t hear the outcome. What happened? How many were able to do it?

  2. lemme answer.

none. they all read it out of a little book. embarrassing for them i’m sure. i don’t think they really realized the point of the question.

  3. Tyler,

Thursday evening you guys were wondering if anyone had ever left the Aggies and if the Aggies felt bad for letting that person go. After the 1993 season, when USU shared the Big West Conference Championship and won their only Bowl Game against Ball State, James Dye, a running back, transferred to BYU and became the nation’s number one punt returner that next season. I would think someone had to have missed Dye’s skills back then.

  4. Today you were discussing on-line schools. It is available already. We have been involved with it for the last 4 years. Our family uses http://www.k12 online pubic school. Because it is on-line, it is possible to use it through the counties in Utah that offer the on-line program throgh k.12. Our family uses Washington County on-line through the k.12 curriculum. It has been a great help to our family. You are able to get school done and get on with other things and not have so much wasted time in the day. Because it is public school there is no cost, a portion of what would be spent at a regular public school is used to support the program.
